Every luxury-deals aggregator I’d ever tried served me the same noise: 10%-off-an-inflated-MSRP fake markdowns, grey-market resellers with no provenance, expired listings that 404 when you click them. The category was rotten with sponsored placement and inflated comparison prices.

So I built a three-gate pipeline that filters them out.

Gate one — structural price extraction.If a listed price isn’t in a known structural location of the retailer’s page (JSON-LD, __NEXT_DATA__, Apollo state), we skip the listing entirely. No heuristic scraping. If we don’t know with certainty what the price is, we don’t list it.

Gate two — two-source cross-check.The price on the retailer’s listing card has to match the price on the product page. Mismatches almost always mean a marketing display with an inflated comparison price. Mismatch = reject.

Gate three — reverification cron. Every 30 minutes, every live deal gets re-fetched. On two consecutive misses, the deal is marked expired and pulled from the site. Zombie listings die fast.

The bet: luxury shoppers who don’t trust generic “designer sale” sites will trust one that publishes its filter logic and proves the verification claim every 30 minutes. Built solo, no marketing budget, currently $0 revenue.
