About the House
Founded by Jil Sander in Hamburg in 1968, the house defined late-20th-century European minimalism — sculpted tailoring, neutral palettes, exceptional fabrics, near-architectural cuts. Jil Sander left her own house multiple times; Raf Simons led 2005-2012; Lucie and Luke Meier took creative direction in 2017 and ran the house through 2024, producing one of the decade's most-respected minimalist registers.
