When are summer vacation bags on sale?

Late August through October is the deepest window — authorized retailers clear the summer allocation as fall stock arrives. A smaller drop hits in late January when resort collections refresh. Mid-summer (June, July) sees almost no discount on resort-coded inventory because demand is at peak.

What counts as a vacation bag?

Raffia and straw construction, woven leather, printed canvas, beach-coded silhouettes (basket bags, larger totes, foldable shoppers), and brightly-colored seasonal leather pieces from resort collections. Heritage everyday bags in neutral leathers aren't filtered here — those live in the broader bags edits.

Are these from authorized retailers?

Yes. Every listing is from one of our 33 authorized stockists. The retailer name appears below each price. We exclude pre-owned platforms and gray-market resellers entirely.

About This Edit

What you're looking at

The summer vacation bag wardrobe is a tight, structurally seasonal category: a raffia tote for the beach club, a woven leather shoulder for the boardwalk, a straw clutch for dinner, a printed canvas crossbody for the boat. Loewe's Paula's Ibiza raffia, Saint Laurent's Panier basket, Jacquemus's Le Bambino in straw, Prada's woven leather, Bottega's intrecciato pool sliders adjacent to the bags — all of these silhouettes sell heavily June through August and clear deeply September through October. Authorized retailers — Net-a-Porter, Mytheresa, The Webster, Bergdorf, Saks — run substantial end-of-resort markdowns in that window, often at 40–60% off. Every listing on this page is a verified resort-coded bag at an authorized retailer with at least a 25% markdown, re-checked every thirty minutes.
